What it does

Instant Expansion

Type your trigger anywhere in macOS and watch it expand. ;date becomes today's date, ;meet becomes your meeting template.

Search Palette

Press ⌥⌘Space to open the snippet search. Fuzzy find any snippet, hit Return, and it's inserted instantly.

Smart Tokens

Snippets can include dynamic content: dates, times, clipboard, cursor position, fill-in prompts, and UUIDs. Build them with a visual token builder.

Installation steps:

    Your Mac will show a security warning the first time because Apple hasn't fully checked this app yet. One short Terminal command removes that warning:

    xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "Hotkey Sauce.app"
  3. 3Open Hotkey Sauce.app
  4. 4Grant Accessibility permission when your Mac asks — the app needs this to watch for your shortcuts and type replacements

Why the Terminal step? Newer builds will be sent through Apple's full notarization process for smoother one-click installs. For now, this one-time command tells your Mac you trust this app.

Requirements: macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
